My name is Tamiko McGurk, and I grew up behind the wheel of a tractor on an Indiana farm in between rows of corn and soybeans. It was the kind of place where the work didn't care how tired you were, and the lessons didn't come from a classroom. I learned resilience there. Resourcefulness. How to build something meaningful in whatever margins were left of an already full day.
That mindset followed me everywhere I went next: into agriculture, into manufacturing, into finance, into corporate boardrooms where I sat across from leaders making million-dollar decisions and still, somehow, kept noticing the same gap. A gap in confidence. In direction. In self-trust. In permission to take up space and lead. And not just in myself, but in nearly every woman around me.
I built a career most people would call a success, yet I still hit a rock bottom of my own, the kind that strips you down to what you're actually made of and asks you to build back up, on purpose this time.
So I did.
I filled the gap I kept seeing, starting with myself. That was a journey in and of itself: getting a master's degree, then coaching certifications, followed by years of doing the inner work right alongside the outer work.
And eventually, a business built from the ground up, the same way I was.

I'm not a coach who learned leadership from a textbook. I learned it from a tractor seat, a finance department, and a boardroom table…

That distinction matters more than it sounds like it should. People don't change because someone hands them the answer. They change when they find it themselves, when the insight is theirs, not mine. I ask more questions than I give advice so that you arrive at your own clarity.

I show up polished when the room calls for it and unbothered by mud when it doesn't, because that balance is the whole point.
